Hotel Glasnost

A chateau, built in the late 19th century in the middle of eastern Germany. When Germany was split after WWII, the former freemason’s refuge turned into a conference hall for the german communist party – rumors allege that some of these „conferences“ ended in a communist orgy. In spring 2018 Hotel Glasnost will open its doors again for a third time. We were asked to create an identity that builds a mysterious vibe around the event, which can be attended by invitation only. The use of a flexible typography system combined with special visual material built the basis of the identity and allowed us to develop an dark and eastern-european vibe. We designed a logo, invitation concept, website, advertising material and a campaign deployed across social media.
